Major men Garcia and Reed motivated by Open opportunity

This week, the International Series Macau presented by Wynn is attracting significant attention as players vie for three coveted spots in The Open Championship. Major winners Sergio Garcia and Patrick Reed are among the top contenders at the Macau Golf and Country Club. Both are eager to capitalize on the opportunity to qualify for The Open, which is a major they both cherish.

Garcia, the 2017 Masters champion, emphasized the importance of this event, stating that it's his favorite major and he's determined to return after missing it for a couple of years. He highlighted the growth of the Asian Tour and the quality of players participating, which makes this week particularly significant.

Reed, the 2018 Masters winner, echoed Garcia's sentiments, noting that the chance to qualify for a major boosts his motivation. After missing several majors last year, Reed is keen to get back on track and continue his streak of participating in these prestigious events. Both players are looking forward to a competitive week, with Garcia fresh from a win at LIV Golf Hong Kong and Reed having previously found success at the Hong Kong Golf Club.
