Asian Tour season to surpass US$30million for third successive year

The Asian Tour will have another colorful, active, and highly rewarding calendar of events next season, according to the schedule released today.

The preliminary program includes 22 events with prize money of more than US$30 million, with additional tournaments to be added.

With The International Series offering a strong backbone of ten events, owing to the continued collaboration with LIV Golf, the Tour will be contested throughout the calendar year, including a popular return to India and the Philippines.

The Philippine Open will return after a six-year hiatus in January, followed by the first International Series India hosted by DLF the following week.

It's an exciting start to 2025, followed shortly by the New Zealand Open sponsored by Sky Sport and the second edition of the International Series Macau presented by Wynn in March.

Two of Korea's largest golf events, the GS Caltex Maekyung Open Championship and the Kolon Korea Open, will return in May and June.

The International Series will include the return of Morocco, the BNI Indonesian Masters, the Link Hong Kong Open, and the PIF Saudi International sponsored by SoftBank Investment Advisers, as well as four other new venues to be announced.

In 2026, the International Series Rankings will again serve as a road to the LIV Golf League.

All tournaments on The International Series will have a minimum prize money of US$2 million, with the PIF Saudi International powered by SoftBank Investment Advisers giving at least US$5 million, the most on Tour.

Furthermore, the return of the SJM Macao Open, 41st Shinhan Donghae Open, Saudi Open presented by PIF, Chinese-Taipei's Yeangder Tournament Players Championship, Mercuries Taiwan Masters, and Taiwan Glass Taifong Open will strengthen and diversify the 2025 season. The Indonesian and Malaysian National Opens are also anticipated to be scheduled.

Cho Minn Thant, Commissioner & CEO of the Asian Tour, said, "We have come a long way since the Asian Tour was established 20 years ago." 2025 looks to be another spectacular season, with total prize money exceeding $30 million for the third consecutive year.

"It will be a year in which we can continue to give excellent chances for our members, delight our millions of fans around the area, and return to some popular and familiar venues.

"We will provide regular updates as the schedule continues to develop and as we move into a year that promises so much."

The Final Stage of the 2026 Qualifying School will be held in the end of 2025.

The Asian Tour's current season concluded on Sunday at PIF Saudi International, backed by SoftBank Investment Advisers.

After 21 tournaments with a total prize money of US$33.75 million, Chile's Joaquin Niemann emerged victorious.
