After a six-year absence, the Asian Development Tour (ADT) is returning to Pakistan with the inaugural ADT Rumanza Open Pakistan, which will be held from February 19-22. The tournament will take place at the Sir Nick Faldo-designed Rumanza Golf & Country Club in Multan, featuring a prize pool of US$85,000.
Ken Kudo, General Manager of the ADT, expressed excitement about the event, highlighting Pakistan's potential in golf and the emergence of local talents like Ahmad Baig. The tournament will feature a 132-man field, including players from the ADT, the Pakistan Golf Federation, and invitees.
Lt. Gen. Qazi Ikram, President of the Pakistan Golf Federation, emphasized the commitment to promoting professional golf in Pakistan and showcasing the country as a prime venue for international tournaments. The Rumanza Golf & Country Club, known for its scenic design with eco bunkers, lakes, and citrus orchards, previously hosted the Rumanza Inaugural Challenge in 2022. The ADT's last visit to Pakistan was in October 2019 for the RAYA Pakistan Open, won by Korean star Tom Kim.
